Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR)

The ICCR on behalf of Government of India offers scholarships and fellowships to the participants wishing to study in India in various disciplines such as Under Graduate courses (BA/ B.Sc/ B.Com/ BBM/ BCA/ BBA/ B.Tech) and Post Graduate courses (Master Degree in Arts, Commerce, Science, Management, Computer Application. M.E/M.Tech), Research work/courses (M.Phil/ Ph.D/ D.Lit) and non-formal courses like religion, classical music, dance and crafts etc. Various scholarships offered by the ICCR are as under:

(i)General Cultural Scholarship Scheme (GCSS):For Under Graduate & Post Graduate studies in Science, Humanities and also Research work.
(ii) Mekong Ganga Cultural Scholarship Scheme (MGCSS):For Under Graduate & Post Graduate studies in Science, Humanities and also Research work.
(iii) Ayush Scholarship to BIMSTEC member countries:

The ICCR offers 15 scholarships slots to meritorious nationals of BIMSTEC member countries every year to pursue Under Graduate/Post Graduate/Ph.D course in Indian Traditional Systems of Medicine, i.e. Ayurveda, Unani, Siddha and Homoepathy under this scheme.

(iv) Fellowship for Buddhist studies

Special Course for Diplomats from ASEAN countries

The Foreign Service Institute of Ministry of External Affairs offers four weeks intensive Special Course for diplomats from ASEAN countries. Each of the ten ASEAN member countries is allotted five slots for the training. The embassy has been utilizing all five slots.
